Wooden windows in Wassenaar? Choose the wood look
Looking for wooden frames usually means looking for the warm look of timber. We do not supply wooden frames, but we do offer uPVC with a wood-grain foil (houtnerf-folie) in Golden Oak or Walnut (Notenhout): the colour and grain of wood, without ever having to sand or paint.
The foil can go on the outside, the inside or both. At the showroom you can see it on a real profile rather than a printed chart.

The opening style decides how you ventilate and clean. A fixed section, with plenty of glass and little frame, combines with any style and costs less than one that opens.
Tilt-and-turn (draai-kiep)
One handle tilts the window for fresh air or swings it fully open.
Side-hung or bottom-hung
Turn only (draairaam) or tilt only (kiepraam), often high up, as in a bathroom.
Tilt-and-turn plus turn
Two sashes: one tilts and turns, the other only turns.
French casement (stolpraam)
Two sashes with no fixed central post, for a wide, clear opening and a traditional look.
Transom and triangle
A section above a window or door (bovenlicht), or a triangular window under a sloping roofline.
Glass: HR++ or triple glazing
As standard we fit HR++ double glazing with a Ug value of around 1.1; the lower that value, the less heat escapes. Triple glazing (HR+++) reaches around 0.5, costs around € 90 per m² more and noticeably reduces noise, which you notice most in a bedroom facing the street.
Triple glazing comes with warm-edge spacers (warme afstandhouders): the strip between the panes conducts less cold, the edge of the glass stays warmer and you see less condensation in the corners.
A new front door in Wassenaar
For a front door (voordeur) you choose from 144 EkoLine panel designs, in uPVC or aluminium and in 9 colours, wood grain included. Then you add a sidelight (zijlicht) on the left, the right or both sides, a straight or arched transom, a letterbox, glazing bars (roeden), clear or frosted glass and a handle in stainless steel or black.
For security you can choose a multi-point lock, which secures the door at several points at once, and burglar-resistant hardware in class RC2 with SKG certification. A smart lock is also possible.
Garden doors

Colours, inside and outside separately
uPVC frames come in white, cream white and ten other colours, including anthracite (RAL 7016), black (RAL 9005), steel blue and fir green, plus wood grain in Golden Oak and Walnut. You choose inside and outside separately, for example anthracite on the façade and white indoors, to match light walls. Each coloured or wood-grain side adds around 16 percent to the price.
Replacing windows in Wassenaar

Do you also supply wooden windows?
No, we work with uPVC and aluminium. The alternative is a uPVC frame with a Golden Oak or Walnut wood-grain foil: the look of wood, without the painting.
How long does it take to replace my windows?
After the measuring visit, the lead time is 4 to 6 weeks for uPVC and 6 to 10 weeks for aluminium. The fitting itself takes one to a few days in most homes, on a date you know in advance.
Is triple glazing worth the extra cost?
Triple glazing costs around € 90 per m² more, insulates better (Ug around 0.5 against 1.1 for HR++) and noticeably reduces noise. If you live on a busy road or want to lose as little heat as possible, it is well worth considering.
Is there a discount if I replace all the windows?
From 5 frames in one order, an 8 percent volume discount applies. The project costs for transport and disposal are charged once per order.
What if my home is a listed building?
Then rules apply to profiles, glazing bars and colour. We find out in advance which ones apply to your address. For the thin lines of old steel windows, Reynaers SlimLine 38 is a suitable system.
